Meet Cristopher Taylor
Dr. Cris Taylor is a retired research psychologist who lives in Erie, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Peggy. Together they have a blended family of four adult children and six grandchildren.
His professional journey has been anything but conventional. Cris spent 28 years in the retail industry, working his way from stock boy to retail company owner. After selling his company, he returned to school to pursue clinical psychology at The Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California, followed by studies in research methods at Capella University’s Harold Able School of Behavioral Health in Minneapolis.
His work eventually led him into forensic psychology, where he wrote about sexual conduct and abuse. He later became deeply involved with issues affecting the homeless population, conducting research and writing on the subject, operating a homeless shelter for ten years, and continuing to serve on boards within his hometown of Erie.

What if surviving the past meant becoming someone entirely new?
Seventeen-year-old Fin Eastwood enters the northern Maine wilderness carrying more than camping gear. Five years after the sudden death of his mother, both Fin and his father, Ray, are still living with a grief they have never completely confronted.
Their trip is supposed to bring them closer.
Then the storm comes.
A violent funnel tears across Eagle Lake, overturning their canoe and dragging Fin beneath the water. When he regains consciousness, he is injured, alone, and confronted by a world that makes increasingly little sense.
